Reviews
Very authentic French restaurant. We dropped in for lunch having visited the Chateau. It was very busy with local customers. We were made very welcome. The décor was high quality, as were the linen tablecloths, food, and performance of the staff. We had the menu du jour and it was excellent with some delicious white asparagus.
Great resteraunt food excellent with good service if I had to find something negative I could say that the chef is a tiny bit heavy handed on the pepper
Overall, a good choice for a restaurant in Loches. The hostess welcome was a bit cool but our waiter was a charming, young man. Plates were good but I'd say average presentation. So, can't really opt for a 5-star but I'd return. Reservations a must.
Had a fabulous meal here. Good portions of quality food. I would definitely recommend.
Shame we used to go to this restaurant a lot about 5yrs ago but now it is just ordinary food served by any restaurant not like it used to be THE FRENCH RESTAURANTS NEED TO UP THEIR GAME TO CATCH WITH THE UK FRANCE YOU USED TO SHOW THE WAY BUT NOW ALAS YOU CANT BE BOTHERED
Very nice setting. Nice cutlery. Authentic french restaurant frequented by french locals!! Tuffeau stone finish walls. Good selection a la carte. Nice wines. Presented well. Lovely fluffy creamy alioli foam on starters. Tartin very good. Escargot in puff pastry good. Service very prompt. Duck excellent. Steak a little chewy, but very well cooked, and tasty. Dauphin potato very well done, ratatouille spot on. Sweets nicely presented, and adequate. €73 inc wine and kirs.
I was in this small simple restaurant around 2 weeks ago during my holiday.
The food was good...not much more to say!!
I have anyway to complain about the behaviour and attitude of the owner.
First of all, we ordered a 4 dishes menu sharing the 4 dishes: appetizer (foie gras), main course (Magrè de canard), assiette we fromages and sweet/dessert.
At the end our bill was 12 euro more than expected because they charged the appetizer as a main course WITHOUT TELLING US ANYTHING!!!!
Moreover as soon I complained, she immediatelly say that we acted as typical Italians....."ah les italiens" she sad!!!!!
I will not return any more in that "little" restaurant.

Small menu and wine list, but all exquisite. Service very friendly and efficient.
